TMSi Logistics Opens Texas Facility

(Portsmouth, NH) – TMSi Logistics, a global supply chain and integrated logistics provider, is pleased to announce the opening of an 80,000 square foot facility in Grand Prairie, Texas. The recent acquisition of Griffin Global Logistics, a third-party supply chain company that provides a full range of international supply chain services designed to meet the needs of companies engaged in global trade, facilitated the build out of this location.

The new Texas multi-tenant 3PL facility will be opened around Liquid Metal Motorsports, a leading national aftermarket automotive wheel provider and longstanding client of Griffin Global Logistics. The facility anchors an important market for Liquid Metal Motorsports and one of their primary strategic partners, Discount Tire Company.

Headquartered in Brea, California, Liquid Metal Motorsports specializes in building exacting wheel standards to offer the ideal fit for light trucks and SUVs. The Grand Prairie facility is the second facility Griffin Global Logistics has opened around Liquid Metal Motorsports in the last three years. The first facility, a 150,000 square foot space, was opened in November, 2009. Although both facilities have been opened initially around Liquid Metal Motorsports, each allows for opportunity to service other TMSi clients’ public warehousing needs.

TMSi’s Chairman states: “We are pleased to see that the Griffin acquisition is already driving growth for all companies involved. It is clear that our relationship is on track to successfully achieve its goal of developing and maintaining a values-driven, performance-based culture that delivers results.”

Jimmy Owen, President of Liquid Metal Motorsports, states: “The Dallas facility allows Liquid Metal to sustain our continued growth, as well as align properly with key strategic partners in developing our supply chain network.”

Russ Romine, former President of Griffin Global Logistics and member of TMSi Logistics’ Executive Leadership Team, states: “This expansion into the Dallas market supports one of our key clients, Liquid Metal Motorsports, in their continued growth and expansion. In addition, this location aligns with our growth strategy to develop a national distribution infrastructure anchored by regional facilities around the country, which also provides a base for TMSi to leverage Griffin’s domestic and international transportation services into Central America.”
